Congratulations to Brian's Team, the 2008 Cancer Ski Out winners! Captain Russ Stanton and team members Luis Martinez, Joe Craig, Ben Johnson and Bob Sonderon perfectly matched their Sunday team handicap on Monday. Pretty amazing to be able to do that given the drastically different snow & weather conditions between the two days. And Luis Martinez was able to ski each run with the exact same handicap (20); a feat that's never been accomplihed in the previous nineteen years! View the complete race results. |

Empowering people in the fight against cancer!
Oregon's Most Successful Charity Ski & Snowboard Event! In 1988, Larry Chadwick and a small group of friends started the Oregon Cancer Ski Out as a way to positively channel their sadness and frustration over the loss of loved ones to cancer.
The idea was to create an event that would benefit cancer research, hospice and cancer prevention programs. The event had to be meaningful, affordable and well organized, but above all, it had to be fun... serious fun!
The result was an innovative ski race with a team-based format that rewards consistency, not speed, making it possible for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities to participate. March 2008 marks the Ski Out's 20th anniversary. Its success is largely due to the strong support of team participants and corporate sponsors who return year after year to experience the fun, camaraderie and opportunity to give that the Ski Out provides.
